Library Birthday Buddies
You are invited to celebrate your child’s birthday in a special way at Old Union. The Library Birthday Buddies program allows us to help celebrate your child’s birthday while building precious book resources for our library. During your child’s birthday month he/she selects a new book from a special collection. Your child’s picture and name will be mounted on a bookplate and placed inside the front cover showing that this book was a gift, donated by your child. Your child will be the very first to “check out” the new book. You will be so happy when you see the excitement, pride and joy your child has when they get to share their birthday book with friends and family. Click here for Library Buddies Form.
Dragons Giving Back
The annual Dragon’s Giving Back campaign will help grant “Holiday Wishes” to local children in need. The program will focus on 3 aspects this year: · Donations of new toys/clothing to fulfill wish lists for children ages 1-12. · OUES kids to participate (at school) in wrapping donated gifts and making cards for children. Focus on giving our time – not just our funds. · Gather canned goods to help make holidays more joyous. The gift items and wrapping will all be completed the first full week of December. Class coordinators will help facilitate donations and wrapping day with the class teacher. More details to come!
