What a fantastic start to the 2010-2011 school year! Hopefully everyone is getting to know their teachers, the parents, and the kids in class. It is such a fun (and busy) time of year, but it is so exciting! The PTO has been very busy too with our annual membership drive and collecting information for the directory, class parties, and teacher appreciation. The OUES Directory has been sent to the printers, and we hope to have it back and ready for distribution soon. We, like everyone else, also face some challenges as we have received fewer funds than last year, but we still think we can have great parties for the kids and have wonderful teacher appreciation celebrations thanks to the hard work of our volunteers! I am so excited about our Innisbrook Fundraiser which was very successful!! We exceeded the goal we had set by approximately 20%!! What a fabulous job our fundraising volunteers have done so far and what a great job by the kids and parents working to make Innisbrook sales! Our next exciting event is the Old Union County Fair coming October 15! It is going to be a time for celebrating Old Union as the first one-room school-house in the area, a time for celebrating our kids with games and events, and celebrating our school by raising money to be used to benefit our current school house, OUES! Hope to see y'all at the coming County Fair!! Thank you for all of the participation from all of the parents and teachers these first weeks of school.
